Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour bundt pan.
Mix first four dry ingredients.
Sprinkle pecans on bottom of greased and floured bundt pan.
Add next five ingredients to dry mixture (eggs through 1/2 cup white wine).
Bake 1 hour - 1 hour, 10 minutes at 325.
When cake has 10 minutes left to bake, boil 1/2-1 stick of butter or margarine, 1 cup sugar and 1/4 cup of warm water for 2 minutes. Add 1/4 cup of wine. When cake comes out of the oven, pour 1/2 of glaze on hot cake before turning it out. Let cake sit 10 minutes. Turn out. Glaze with rest.
