Braised Fennel

Step 1

Saute shallots, cardamom and other spices in melted butter. Make sure to use a pan which is oven safe and had a lid.

Step 2

Add the fennel and turn it to coat in the butter mixture

Step 3

Add chicken broth, bring to a boil

Step 4

Place in oven for 30 minutes, basting occaisionally

Step 5

Return to stovetop and return to a boil, about 15 minutes until thick.
