A great meal to top pasta or rice for a cold winter day.
Prepare the meat and leeks. Seperate the cloves of garlic & quarter larger pieces.
Heat the oil with medium heat. Add bacon and cook until the fat is released. Increase the heat and add beef and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occationally until browned all over. Remove bacon and beef.
Add the onion and garlic, cook for 6 minutes, stirring occationally. Add the wine and herbs, return the meat, cook for 2 hours. Check occationally to make sure the casserole is not drying out.
