Original recipe- Apple Pie by Grandma Ople.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Melt butter in the saucepan. Stir in flour to form a paste. Add water, white sugar and brown sugar, bring to a boil. Reduce temperature and simmer.
Place the bottom crust in pie pan. Fill with apples (slightly mounded). Cover with lattice work crust. Pour sugar liquid over the crust slowly (in the center holes of the lattice). Brush the extra sugar liquid over the lattice.
Bake 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350 and bake for 35-45 minutes until the apples are soft.
