Chocolate Chip Sourdough Scones

So good! Flaky and toasty, great with jam.

Step 1

Combine the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder with a whisk in the medium bowl. Cut the butter into small squares, then add to the flour mixture and cut into smaller pieces with a pastry cutter. Mix in the chocolate chips.

Step 2

In small bowl, mix the sourdough, egg, vanilla extract, and sour cream. Use a fork to stir the mixture into the other bowl, not too much mixing, it should be a little dry.

Step 3

Divide into eight pieces, and press into the scone pan. Chill in fridge for 20 minutes while the oven is preheated to 400 degrees.

Step 4

Cook for 25 minutes. Eat warm with jam!
