Sour Cream Crullers

These donughts are my favorite. I like to make them for Fauchnaught Day, or "Donught Day", also known as Fat Tuesday.***

Ingredients
  

  • 2 egg
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 cup sugar
  • 4 cup flour
  • vegetable oil for frying

Method
 

  1. Beat eggs.
  2. Add sour cream and milk and stir.
  3. Add dry ingredients.
  4. Mix in enough flour to solidify dough.
  5. Let dough stand for 2 hours, until outside is slightly crunchy.
  6. Turn dough onto floured surface and cut into whatever kind of doughnut shapes you want.
  7. Fry the doughnuts in oil until light brown and crispy.
  8. Sprinkle with powdered sugar to taste. Enjoy!
