- Wash the rice in cold water, let soak 30 min.
- Heat the oil in frying pan, saute cumin seeds for 2 minutes. Add bay leaves, cardamom, cloves to saute for 2 minutes.
- Add diced leeks, cook for 5 minutes. Stir in carrots, cook 3-4 minutes.
- Drain the rice, add to pan, add peas and corn, cook for 5 minutes. Add 2 cup water, ground cumin, and salt. Boil covered for 15 min for low heat. Let stand covered 10 min before serving.
