Apple Crisp

Ingredients
  

  • 6 tart apples pared and cut into thin slices
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine melted
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 pkg. Jiffy Yellow Cake Mix
  • Ice Cream or Whipped Cream

Equipment

  • 9x9 inch glass pan
  • paring knife

Method
 

  1. Place pared and sliced apples into 9x9 pan.
  2. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over apples. Let sit for 45 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle dry cake mix over apple mixture.
  4. Pour melted butter over dry cake mix. Bake at 350 F for 35 to 40 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven when golden brown and apples are bubbling through. Serve with ice cream or whipped topping.
