Baked Feta Pasta

A twist on classic tomato sauce with much more flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz cavatappi pasta
  • 2 pints cherry tomatoes
  • 8 oz feta
  • 1/2 c extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp pasta sprinkle

Equipment

  • Oven-safe baking dish
  • Pasta pan
  • strainer

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place cheree tomatoes in oven-safe baking dish. Pour olive oil on top, season with salt, pepper, garlic and pasta sprinkle. Toss until well combined.
  2. Make a well in the middle of the tomatoes, add the feta to the well. Bake for 35 minutes.
  3. Cook the pasta, drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta liquid to add if needed to the dish.
  4. Toss together sauce and pasta. If using fresh basil, add when combining sauce with the pasta.
