Ingredients
  

  • 2 2/3 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup baking chocolate
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 2/3 cup shortening melted
  • 2 cups cold water

Equipment

  • ungreased cake tin

Method
 

  1. Sift first five ingredients together into an ungreased cake tin.
  2. Make 3 holes. In one drop the vanilla, another drop the vinegar, and the third drop the shortening.
  3. Over all pour 2 cups cold water. Stir batter well.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 - 35 minutes.
